The pump is basically the heart of a swimming pool or spa’s circulation system.
Its main function is to pump water through the pool or pond’s filtration system, helping to keep the water clean and the pump functioning properly.
Pool pump and filter
Pool pumps create the flow of water that circulates necessary chemicals evenly throughout so that they can effectively sanitize the water. They carry water from the pool to the filter, so that it can be filtered and sanitized before re-entering the pool.
Traditional chlorine pools are cleaned with chlorine pool chemicals. When mixed with water, chlorine pool cleaners break down chemically into the chemicals that kill the bacteria in your water.
Salt chlorinators produce the exactly the same sanitising chemicals, but through a mechanical delivery system that uses ordinary salt as a base for producing these chemicals through the process of electrolysis.
Spa Pump
The spa pump consists of two parts: the wet end, which contains a key moving part, the impeller, and a motor to turn the impeller. Spa pumps draw water in from suction ports like main drains and skimmers and return this water through the jets keeping the spa clean and running efficiently.
Pond pump
Pond pumps are essential for pond filtration systems. The pond is a natural habitat for fish, water plants, and other aquatic life. The pond pumps ensure that water circulates in the ponds and in turn better circulation of oxygen. Running water prevents stagnation and cuts down on algae growth and mosquito eggs. There are several application-specific pond pumps such as a fountain, water feature, and filtration pumps.
